Dozen Photo Challenge

I consider this to be my most successful image due to its crispness, the lighting, and the overall layout, which come together to make the composition engaging. Although I used the Bull's Eye approach, which can sometimes lead to less dynamic images, I believe the subject matter and composition here keep it interesting and visually appealing.

The most challenging aspect of this assignment was finding intriguing subjects to photograph. I struggles with observing my surroundings and deciding where to take pictures. It was particularly difficult to apply different techniques while also maintaining interesting subject matter within the frame.

In the future, to create stronger images, I'll need to dedicate more time to planning and exploring. I'll venture off-campus to discover more diverse and compelling subjects that can elevate the quality of my photographs.

Hi Erin! This photo is amazing! I love how you’ve used negative space so effectively—it really draws the viewer's eye straight to the bird. The clarity is impressive, especially with how sharp the bird's reflection appears in the water. The contrast between the deep blue of the water and the white/gray of the bird is beautiful. It might be interesting to experiment with filters to create an even bolder contrast between the bird and the background—just to see how it enhances the overall impact. Fantastic work overall!
